The design needed to meet Ordnance Survey’s brand guidelines which outlined specific colours and fonts. We created a modern flat UI based around these guidelines that clearly presents information to users in an intuitive and easy to use interface. The design featured each stage showing a preview of the route, distance and elevation, each stage was broken down into shorter segments allowing users to choose a route that would suit their level of riding ability. The mapping and stats screens present all the information a user would expect from a similar sports tracker style app clearly showing the riders location along the route, distance they have travelled, time elapsed and elevation. Overall, the design packages each stage of the Tour de France in an appealing and easily digestible fashion, complemented by intuitive user experience that is easy to use. Essentially, we created a great looking app that doesn’t leave users guessing.
